at least i drive a civic and get 30+ mpg


feel sorry for those gas guzzling suv drivers, the guy b4 me at the pump last week dropped 65 bucks on a tank :o

Regular is 2.33. It hurts.
Mid-Grade is like 2.44 or so
Premium is like 2.60

In Amarillo it's about 10 cents/gallon worse.

It was funny when I pulled in behind an Escalde though at the station. 70 bucks on a tank. That HAD to hurt. I can still fill up once a week to a week and half for 20 bucks or so.

I work at a gas station and we actually buy it for 20.9 cents a litre. Take that for what it's worth.

It's somthing like $1.3/l here.. That's ~$5/US gallon.. And yes, a big amount of that is tax.

But what do I care, I don't have a car. Instead, I pay ~$40 a month for unlimited commuting. :wink:

I filled up after work today for $2.59 (for premium). Regular was $2.39 at all three gas stations at the intersection near my apartment.

You know i never checked. I know there is a GVD tax (3.5) + regular tax so it should be around 15%-20%. I'll check the invoice tomorrow.

Just worked it out... yesterday I paid the equivalent of US$6.32 a gallon to fill up. :( (91.9p a litre)

So for god's sake, you Yanks, realise how LUCKY you are. :P

I also pay £83.40 ($151) a month for my train pass. sigh

That is 1.364 $/l,

Yea, I don't take the gas price with such drama.
Honestly, I think it is WAY too cheap...
I am not kidding.

Much higher oil prices might just make things better.
Yeah, there will be initial shock, but over a time economy will adopt how to live with it, there will be much bigger incentive to develop new energy technologies. It will lead to lower CO2 emmision, too.

You why US is the largest CO2 emmiter? Cause they have the cheapest oil.
Look at Europe, you may say that oil is too expensive here, but it result with more efficient use of it. People use more public transport. Is this bad thing?

I just hope, that oil prices will keep soaring and we all will switch to something else. The sooner, the better economy (in the long run) and for environment and for politics (middle east won't be that crucial anymore).

It's going to happen some day anyway...

If anybody is in the NC area and tired of using too much gas..I do have 6 toyota echos for sale.. :-)

Gas always goes up around this time of year.. with a large travel weekend coming up soon and a formulation change coming.

$2.35/$2.45/$2.55 for 87/89/93 octane. The WRX has to use the good stuff, so a full tank is getting uncomfortably close to $35.
What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

It's about $2.33/gal here. Not looking forward to commuting ~40 miles to school in a couple weeks... It would almost be cheaper to live on campus. Doesn't help that I drive a V8 either...
