"What do you do for Money Honey" is definitely my favorite AC/DC song. I ought to go through all of their albums for lesser-known songs now.

Sometimes the lesser-known "deep cuts" are the best ones.

Grace Potter & The Nocturnals
This is Somewhere
Mastermind

The Grace Potter that us Vermonters remember from before she was famous, i.e.the bluesy jam-band Janis wannabe, not what she's become as a solo artist.

Not just Vermonters, but yeah, it's a shame what kind of music they've been putting out lately. Those first two or three albums were way better. I've seen her live a few times, and it was super fun each time (mind you, every time was before that Paris oh la la crap)

I was about 10 years too young to appreciate this album when it first came out, but I really love it.

Every accident while she was driving. This suggests multiple, and because you stated while she was driving, that it must mean she has been in accidents when she wasn't driving. Is an equivalent band for when other people are driving and she was in an accident. Something like, My Chemical Romance lol :P

My wife's accident back in December (car totaled head on) she was listening to a podcast on diet, Vegan specifically. Let's just say we have been eating a lot of bacon since then :P

Re: What are you listening to RIGHT NOW?

Well last night I was listening to as much of anything and everything as time would allow, because I had just hooked up my new toys!

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019YBHOOA/re ... UTF8&psc=1

Now they aren't broken in, my room is too small (they will be moved later this spring though), and I was sitting way too close to them, but the details were absolutely amazing. Tracey Thorne's voice in Massive Attack's "Protection" (album version, not youtube) had a presence that made me seriously double take. I didn't get in a lot of male vocals, but there are a few tracks off Kaya Project's "..and so it goes" that have amazing male vocals. I will be subjectively listening to that at first opportunity.

If I were back in my single days and sitting in my apartment, I probably would have been up till 1AM listening (loudly) to music I hadn't enjoyed in years. At some point this weekend I'm going to put some real juice to them and really listen to them sing!

These are replacing my long-term daily driver KEF IQ9's, which are going to the living room for home theater duty. The KEF's sound great in their own regard, but there's no replacement for displacement, and 6.5's just can't do the low end justice. I was going to just get a sub, but decided to spoil myself and try a whole new set of speakers. I wouldn't have been sold on a single 8" woofer, but dual 8's may well do the trick. I say "may" because a) I haven't cranked them yet, and b) haven't had them long enough to do any semblance of burn-in. Looking forward to more time with these beasts. For the price, I can definitely say that I am satisfied above and beyond expectations.

Snail's Home, baby! LOVE the bass line in that song!

Huge Scann-Tec fan here too. Nothing like cranking "ASD" to the point of distortion in my car.

Music works in mysterious ways sometimes. I was sitting on my train, waiting for it to pull out and listening to some music, and this song came on. Just something about the lyrics, her voice, and the simple, understated arrangement suddenly moved me to tears. What an emotional sucker punch...

It seems you still haven't come to grips with the fact that we were the last generation which tended to shun the music our parents listened to.

I think this is due in large part to the internet, and video games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band.

I didn't like anything my parents listened to growing up. Obviously as you get older tastes change, but I wouldn't say at my age (early 30's) that my parents' and my tastes in music line up that well still.

FWIW, I like Rush, but not enough to perform 2112 at a high school talent show. My parents did not and do not like Rush.

Well yeah, it's not a hard-and-fast rule. But in general, I'd say there are a lot more people in their 20s and 30s today whose music tastes overlap that of their parents than there were when I was that age. I'm not saying that there's 100% alignment; just a lot more overlap.

I can talk to my kids about Rush, Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Queen, etc. and they're into it. But when I was younger I had very little interest in show tunes, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, etc...
