GASP! PETA Was Spied On!

Tue Feb 28, 2006 3:53 pm

PETA is taking the company that produces Ringling Bros. Circus shows to court over alleged corporate espionage charges. Goodness gracious, PETA has never stooped to that level and sent any of their own operatives into other companies to conduct espionage! Those crackpots can dish it out but they sure can't dish it in. Talk about hypocrisy!

I take my daughter to Ringling every year when they're in Chicago. every year, there's a guy out in front handing out flyers with "inside stories" and pictures. Last year I was in a pissy mood so I asked the guy "where did you get these pictures? Did you steal them from someone? How do I know they're not Photoshopped?" He said he didn't know where they came from.

OMG! PETA doing a no-no? who'da thunk it!

PETA will forever be pulling even more outrageous stunts just to attract idiots into their fold.

The circus came to our small town a couple of years ago . by small town i am talking a totoal population of less than 5k people . on top of that its a farming town . mink skins is one of the biggest products of the town . Anyway PETA shows up to protect the circus animals , they are yelling screaming and whatever else . A bunch of the towns people got pissed and PETA were the ones that needed protection after that . The cops actually had to come protect the PETA members while they packed their **** up so they could leave .

I'm a huge supporter of this organization - In fact, for lunch today I think I'll go grab a philly cheesesteak with extra steak, and a side order of steak.

What these silly people need is a nice whack on the head with a big stick labeled 'common sense'. What I don't understand is how they can spend so much time and money trying to protect little fuzzy animals when there is so much human suffering in the world. To PETA, to me it seems, children don't need a decent meal, protection from sexual predators, a dry roof over their heads, or any amount of sympathy for that matter. Not to mention countless humanitarian issues around the world. PETA sure has its priorities straight!

Why do you need pictures in the first place, can't you see for yourself what is going on. How would you like to have your daughter taken away by a circus, dressed up like a monkey and forced to perform stupid tricks?

You've got them pegged exactly. But, remember that to them, humans are the evil which will destroy the earth and all little fuzzy creatures on it. Humans are a product of evil to them and should be wiped from the earth so that a rabbit won't be eaten by a human. Like they don't get eaten by other animals? :o

Animals ARE entirely here for our amusment and consumption. It's called being on top of the food chain. Animals have always been domesticated and always will be.

Anyway - I think Maddox has the best shirt for the occaision. His article on the subject is priceless as well.

Same logic Hitler, Stalin and others used. We do as we please, simply because we can. Maddox is being sarcastic by the way. Probably a vegetarian too, just not the wimpy kind.

Like they don't get eaten by other animals?

It's fine to eat animals. If you can go out and catch one with your bare hands, go ahead , eat all you like. But there is nothing right with lazyass bastards consuming crap slaughtered for them on some assembly line and delivered to them as they watch some reality show. Makes me glad they put crap in it that will eventually give them cancer .

It's not SIMPLY because we can, it's also because it's in our needs to eat meat, to hunt, etc. Have you looked at your teeth? They are made to eat meat. Humans are unique in that we can eat almost anything put infront of us. This has allowed us to survive where other animals fall short.

PETA needs to learn to protest within the law, and to recognize that while they have freedom of speech, the rest of us are not required to listen. If they have an agenda of protecting animals, that's fine, but they don't have the right to stop me from eating meat.

I am actually all for people who want to be a vegetarian to be what they want to be, I am against militant vegetarianism.

Ah, so we have a ludite. Thismight be me but I don't think you're going to get much suport here. I'm glad you have a cause but you're forgetting thats its hard to harp on the feelings that people don't have. I also think that many people would agree that if hitler had one many people would have considered what he did was right.

Sorry about playing the devils advocate.

Exactly the opposite, we have no fangs, and our intestines are long like all other vegetarian animals. Predators all have short intestines. We were designed to eat fruits and vegetables ( and I'm not a vegetarian by the way, but facts are facts )

We are not unique, any animal can eat anything just like us. Example is cows and chickens fed ground road kill and ground other dead cows and chickens. That is how mad cow disease spread. Protein originally ( I believe ) found in chickens, jumped to cows during this unnatural way of feeding, which continues.

I'm glad you have a cause

I don't have a cause. I had chicken yesterday. That doesn't mean I should be ignorant about the situation.

Yes, we have longer intestines, and not extremely long fangs, but we do have the teeth for eating meat. Our intestines can process both meat and vegetables. We unlike cows, and chickens have far more enzymes to aid in digestion. Our teeth are not flat, they are sharp, with ridges for grinding vegetables. We are made to eat anything we wish. Not just vegetables. We are made to be at the top of the food chain with our intellect. I hunt and fish and eat what I kill. I also buy meat at the grocer. It is a cheaper easier way to get what I want to shop at the grocer.

Wrong again. We are nothing more than meat and fluids where viruses and bacteria can incubate. Far from the top of the food chain.

If we had intellect, Bush would never be the president, an idiot like Steve Jobs would never be able to sell his crap, and we wouldn't be wasting 1/2 our lives staring at these monitors.

See? You are militant, you assume you know better than everyone else, you assume things, and you have just let your true self out! You are a liberal, not because you hate bush, I don't like him much myself anymore!!!! But, you think you have all the answers and everyone else is wrong. You need to get off your high horse and realize that there are other views with just as much validity or more than yours. You are entitled to yours, but you are spouting mostly opinion, not facts.

Wrong again. We are nothing more than meat and fluids where viruses and bacteria can incubate. Far from the top of the food chain.

If this were true, we wouldn't have vaccines and anti-biotics. Our brains have allowed us to overcome diseases which used to be devastating to us. Anyone remember small-pox? You are wrong on that one. We are winning.

PETA are a bunch of idiots and traitors to mankind as far as I am concerned. Animals are food, or raw materials or entertainment. I have eaten a large variety and have killed, skinned and cooked animals myself. Lazy no, efficeint yes. You are talking about killing off about 4 billion humans in order to sustain a hunter gatherer type society that is inefficient and destroys much more of the habitat.

Besides PETA, I laugh at Hollywood and their current depiction of Indians as preservers of nature. They were Nomads, ie they used up the land, and moved on when they totally denuded an area of anything usable.

The way I see it, PETA is a group of people who don't understand why anthropomorphism is wrong.

:-? We were designed to eat both. Someone has been reading all the wrong books. It's like when my sister-in-law was discussing at a family dinner one time that rumor that spread around the internet that the government had forced Kentucky Fried Chicken to remove the word chicken from it's name because of the mutated chickens.

Regardless, people will believe what they want to usually. I like to believe that chimps running around in clown outfits are amusing.

Hello Kitty, Let me get this straight...

Are you saying that anyone who eats meat, but doesn't obtain the meat themselves via hunting - is lazy? Are you nuts man?
I would say 95+% of the USA is lazy then?
That chicken you had, did you catch it yourself? Are YOU lazy?
You are coming off very bizzare here. Comparing us all to Hitler? WTF?

Homo Sapians diet is based on versatility not specialization. We can process almost any suger, stratch, fat, and protein except for Celliose. It immedately goes out the exit. If you doubt me, then eat a bunch of greens or corn and wait for a couple of hours to get the results. ;)

Celliose is a very complex suger which plants use to bulid their cell structure. It is also very difficult to process, but yields an excellent source of energy. That is why most animals that are vegatrains have very long digestive tracts and tend have to keep reprocess the same food to get all of the energy. Just look at cows as an example.

The reason we eat meat is because it is a far quicker means to acquire fats, proteins then most plants. Fruits, leaves and nuts contain more sugers and several other essential viatniums which are rare in meat.

I personally think that PETA are a bunch of morons who fear the harsh realites of life. They desperately try to isolate it from their sight. They also neglect to care for 99.5% of animal species on the Earth. What about insects, bacteria, fungi? They are not as cute and fuzzy, but are just as important to the ecosystem.

Both are true, I am lazy , so is 95% of the US population.

Hunting doesn't count either, unless it's with bare hands and teeth to the throat kill. Shooting a deer is easy and lazy. Ted Nugent ( for example ) is a lazy closet homosexual, pretending to be a tough guy ( not that there is anything wrong with the homosexual part, but there is plenty wrong with the lazy hunting and pretending part.

But, you think you have all the answers and everyone else is wrong

Not everyone, only about 90% of population
