Mount 900 MHz camera on small RC plane, then film as your kids try to shoot it down with fireworks.

Vintage racing at Lime Rock in 2006, but filmed with cameras of the same vintage of the racecars. It's a nice effect and other than the titles and a brief view of a Porsche 906/908 [/handwave] one could ascribe the video to the age of the cars.

Building of the track, love the comment about “idiots learning how to drive real cars”: :)

I was there when they filmed that! I'm a tiny dot amongst the people on the bridge at the start. The actual event was significantly less exiting than the film of it... lots of waiting around in summer heat with no water, very cool none the less.

How appropriate that that race was held at the world's first purpose-built racetrack, The Brooklands.

Yeah Brooklands in an amazing place. First there's the motor racing stuff... what's left of the track, cars, bikes etc. Then there's the aircraft stuff too: a concord, a wellington, even a chamber for high altitude simulation.

A trailer/teaser by a student at the Vancouver Film School for a movie of the Arthur C. Clarke novel "Rendezvous With Rama". Based on the production quality in this trailer, someone needs to option this and in a hurry.

The only way to improve on that would have been to use the original Death Star explosion.

four chords of genius

Musical humor is the best. It's amazing how many songs fit this template, though.

Oops. I saw four chords and assumed it was the recent one about the Aussie group The Axis of Awesome.

And I'm supposed to be checking all the links in this forum.
