Sorry for the no call/no show. Things came up and couldn't make it and forgot to notify you all.

If it is in west Michigan next year, I will try to make it.

Looks like I missed a great time.

I would totally be up for coming out there again!
Your place sure beats my little back yard, that's for sure.
Mucho thanks to both Dr. Fish and Z-Man for kicking things up a notch.
That sunset was really great, very memorable.
We will be sure to get an earlier start next time, and I'll be scoping out the I-96 constuction before I leave.

Seriously, since I was there all day from 5:30am to 10:30pm. I think I saw her for all of ten minutes if you total her two visits.

(I wanted to stay for the bonfire, but since I was on 7 hours of sleep in the last three days I was just done.)

BTW why aren't those wonderful dark blue TR shirts availible in the strore? I know I had first dibs but I didn't want to bogart all the good ones figuring I could order some more later.

But NOOOOooooOOOOO! I can't, what the hell?

No you won it before you played me. They decided after last year I wasn't allowed to win it.

So Idchafee decided the winner of the tourny would get to play me just to see and for fun.

You did beat me the first time, I only asked for the best 2 outta 3 to see if it was a)Me coming in cold against b)you being hot having just played the tourny or c)were you actually that good.

Which I think was a little of all three. I had to work very hard to win those second two games and I loved it. I am so used to rolling over people that I love it when I can find someone who can make me earn it. Some of my favorite games are the close tight ones that I have to play my ass off to win. My favorite game ever was my Dad and I playing out to 36 -34 (remember 21 to win, gotta win by 2). That was a game of not who was going to outplay the other, but who was going to make the mistake first.

I was rummaging through my laptop bag (the one with the broadband anywhere card that didn't work at the bbq), and I found the beanbag tournament bracket. I'll try to get it scanned and posted tomorrow

My phone kept trying to connect to Wisconsin and died within hours.

Did you find your camera? I remember someone leaving a small camera case on a picknick table. It may have got knocked underneath. Gleek packed up pretty much everything that got left behind. He has Dpos table.

I forgot to bring my pics today and post em. They are very similar to everyone elses. Maybe tonight if I am sober.

Looks like everyone had a good time.

2 questions:

1) Was there any "new" people there or was it just regulars that have been on these forums for years?

2) Would it be worth the 12 hour, 750 mile drive next year? :p

Thanks Prime1.

That shot of the beach from the top of the stairs looks great, and caught me and my son right at the waters edge.

Good show ol' chap.

Not to mention he caught the elusive and somewhat mythical creature knows as Mrs. Drfish in that shot.

A few notes:

Frobozz beat jss21382 21-0. :o

Me and Leor had already started talking trash about who was going to win our game. We both forgot that we had to beat Gleek and 20's 1st.

I beat Clock in the 1st round last year too.

As already noted, I didn't let z-man play in the tournament (although in retrospect I should have. Its not his fault he's better than us), but he played Rolling 20's after the tournament in an exhibition match that I'm told was very good (I didn't see it, I was on the beach with the kids)

Leor throws his beanbags overhand, like he was shooting a basketball. And he does this little exhale as he lets go. I had the distict feeling of being lined up for a free throw.

*sigh* why did it have to be my wife to take me down. :x

Z-Man IMHO should continue to be a defacto finalist just like this year.
He did beat Rolling20's 2 outta 3 after the shocking upset. :o

LOL @ the little exhale.

I am pretty sure that I have a pic of Leor shooting hoops on the bean-bag field... I will see if I can post that tonight after work.

Z-man was freaking tough. I pulled out the fisrt game (I'm not even sure how) and he spanked me in the second two. He's just so freaking consistant. I would have had to hit quite a few more through the hole to have beaten him. Even some rounds where I landed all four on the board he still gained points. It was rough.

He said that he's looking forward to next year's tourney because I played such a good game. :o Thanks for the compliment, z. I was worn out after all was said and done, so maybe we need to face off earlier in the game. =)

Well you were hot coming off that tourny. I had only tossed a few games against Leor all day. I was a little cold when I started. Which is why I asked for the best of three. Just to make sure.

The truly scary part is, no one at these BBQs has seen my A game yet. Seriously, when I play more often I get zero'd in on that hole and I pretty much drop 3 out of 4 bags into it. Everytime.

:D

It was still great fun though.
