During Tech Reports 10 year giveaway, I was saddened and slightly jealous that entrants were only eligible if they were residents of the USA or Canada. So I broached the subject of sponsoring a global giveaway at Tech Report with Scott and Adam. For reasons that are sane and logical, this is not going to happen - lets just say that we live in a complicated world.
So why am I posting this thread? The answer is that although Tech Report cannot hold a Global Giveaway, I can. So I am. I’m a big fan of SSD’s they provide a general speed boost that other upgrades don’t. I wouldn’t build a new PC without one; in fact I just built an office PC with one as its only drive. So the giveaway’s gift is a 64GB SSD with an Indilinx controller (brand to be based on price). I will either buy the SSD in Australia and ship it to the winner OR if it is cheaper buy the SSD in the winners country and have it shipped from there.
To enter, simply respond to this thread with your username and general location e.g. Dragmor, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. You must also agree to and abide by the terms and conditions listed at the end of this post.
All entrants will have their names written on a piece of paper and placed into a box. The winner will be chosen by my 11 month old son, the first piece of paper that he grabs and tries to eat will be the winner.
I’m going to try and get this done before New Years so entries to the Giveaway close at Midnight on Friday the 11th of December Australian Eastern Standard Time (currently GMT + 11 hours).
