My wife and I started watching it the second time around (Australia?). We never got around to watching the first one, (don’t remember why now).
Now we watch it faithfully.

Anyone else contemplating starting a survivor religion?

I've never watched any shows like that and I probably never will. Ick.

I think the show is rigged.

I can find better people to live life vicariously through.

Pesonally I think the best reality TV show is Junkyard Wars. At least the team works together instead of trying to backstab each other. Also it is much more interesting to watch how the contestants fit various pieces together to make the machine in question.

Reality shows may have started out as a good idea but now we are just so swamped with them in every timeslot that it has lost it's "Hey that's never been done before" appeal"

Reality shows like Cops were cool, but I think they all ran out of reality. I was hooked when I saw a camera car get creamed by another cruiser. But now all you see is guys without shirts and helicopter chases. Survivor has a plot and characters, just like any other drama. Just because it's so poorly acted don't change anything...

Mmmmmm, junkyard wars. Most of the ones I see now are reruns. Too bad, it is an awesome show. As for cops, I got tired of seeing the same old drug-addict-beating-up the wife, kids, neighbor etc. Now the only time you see anything decent is on those shows called “most amazing police videos” or something like that.

Outside of law and order & CSI, survivor is the only “TV common ground” between my wife and I, I have no real choice in watching it.
