I don't know how many of you around the forums watch anime, but I would highly recommend Fate/Zero. It just finished today. I personally have very refined tastes as far as entertainment goes and I don't say this lightly - This anime is one of the finest works of entertainment ever made.

I wouldn't crown as the best ever made, given the number of shows I've seen, but it is indeed well made, better than I expected.

This season also had Lupin III - Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna, which is a fresh, arty and very classy take on Lupin III (he was a bumbling fool before). Also highly recommended.

Yeah, not the best, but one of the best. There are very few that I've watched that feature anywhere near that level of depth, art, culture, characters, and emotion. My personal favorite of all time is Junni Kokki, which has amazing back story, lore, and plot. This anime would definitely appeal to more people though.

Have you finished watching season 2? My initial response took into account season 2 as well as season 1. Season 2 really takes things off.

Fate/Zero has been excellent. Still waiting for last episode to show up on crunchyroll, but really awesome series anyway.

Yep, watched both and agree with you - second season changed it for the better. In the first one, only the first ep was good, so good that my jaw dropped, the choice of words was very appealing to me and choice of seiyuus.

I haven't played the visual novel. I generally don't read manga either... That's like a completely different ballpark. I watched the UTW sub of it, that came out last night.

Zero is a light novel. It's the prequel to Stay Night which was the visual novel.

watched till vol. 5 wating for the rest to be released but so far very impressed personal favourite episode is 11 the way the king of conquer unleashes his power(reality marble) and also the part when he is having a discussion with king of knights

"proud king of chivalry
the righteousness and ideas you embraced may indeed have saved your nation and people once
however,
surely you must know what became of those who were saved by you
but left to fend for themselves
You saved them but you never led them
you never showed them what a king should be
you abandoned your men when they lost their way
you followed your own pretty little ideas
thus you are no true king"

:D
