Just got back in from a 1630 mile roadtrip. Left ND at 6:03 am PST yesterday ( Tuesday ) Got into Ore at 5:44 am PST.

I'm wrecked.

But, I beat my 24 hour record.

Let me get this write. You drove from ND to Oregon non-stop. Right?

Man I would be wrapped around a tree somewhere. There is no way I could make it 24 hours straight while driving. Driving long distances bores me to tears. I'd be nodding off after like maybe 13 hours.

That's an average speed of only 70MPH. I thought you could drive fast out there.
You are false data.

He could have a radar detector, and if it was going off enough. That would slow down his relative mph.

I thought there weren't speed limits out there, hence no need for a radar detector.
You are false data.

Well, I didn't follow the speed limit, at the Cor-de`Alene ID pass we hit snow, well slush to be more accurate, and had to drive 40 mph for about 40-50 miles. And yea, there are speed limits, 70 in ND, WA, ID, 65 in Ore and 80 in MT

Yea, we ( My sister and I drove nonstop ) stopping only for gas. I hate long distance driving, but have gotten kind of used to it with all these damn roadtrips.

Driving in cold weather (especially for long distance) is the WORST. And then there is always the friend/acquaintance/sibling who is feeling carsick, or has to go the bathroom, or is hungry, or is having a gas problem. Jeez.

Boy you make roadtrips sound like no fun at all.

I drove from Southern Cali to Branson, Missouri in 24 hours with my cousin, back in August 2001. Hitting the open road in my MR2 was a blast! Then turned around 2 days later and drove it again by myself, did it in 23 hours the second time. But i guess you really have to ENJOY driving to actually get pleasure out of that, and you also have to try and NOT let the bastard cops get on your nerves. I got 3 speeding tickets during that trip,

I like cruising around but i don't like doing it for HOURS and HOURS and HOURS. Especially with annoying people who you're stuck with and you feel like booting out of your car and locking the door and leaving them in your dust, watching you speed off over the horizon....
