TR BBQ XI Swap Meet Thread

Sun Jul 13, 2014 4:50 pm

I didn't see one of these threads for this year. Figured I'd start.

Here's what I know I plan to bring.

Dell Precision T3400 workstation. Core 2 Quad Q9400, 4gb ram, 500gb HDD. DVD writer, Geforce 9600GT.

Dell Vostro 260 tower. Pentium G630 (Sandy Bridge core), 8gb ram, forget if it's 250 or 500gb HDD. DVD writer.

Two Radeon 6970 2gb cards. One XFX reference, one Sapphire dual fan. Original boxes, work great in Crossfire.

Dell Latitude D620 laptop. Core 2 T7200, 3gb ram, 120gb HDD, DVD writer, 14" LCD.

Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop. Core 2 T7200, 2gb ram, I think it has a 250gb HDD, DVD writer, 15" LCD.

Soundblaster XFi Titanium PCIe.

Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1800 PVR TV tuner PCIe card with QAM tuner and hardware encoding.

Possibly some very new large case fans (like, 200mm)

Samsung Ecogreen (not Seagate made) 2tb HD204UI hard drive. Possibly a Seagate 1tb 7200 drive used once or twice for testing.

Droid Bionic 4G-LTE (Verizon) dual-core smartphone with bedside dock, car dock, regular and extended batteries, running stock Jelly Bean 4.1.2

Whatever else I can find that I don't need. I will both look at selling or (if I find some cool stuff y'all have) trading.

I'm going to be looking for a couple lower end machines that won't gag on Windows 7. I think they can be either desktops or laptops.

What I bring will depend on what I have time to dig up. If I can find the time to wipe them, I may have a pile of (working) sub-1TB hard drives to unload. Possibly some motherboards (Socket AM2/AM2+ era) as well, maybe some other odds and ends.

Edit: I will update this post with the likely list of parts I will be bringing to the swap meet. Pricing on most items will be "make me an offer, cash or trade" and if I don't get any offers by the time the swap meet is winding down the item gets given away (IOW I'd prefer not to come home with any of it). Here's your chance to get parts for that secondary rig for cheap (or even free)!

HARD DRIVES (3.5" form factor, SATA, all have seen a fair bit of use but have not thrown any errors I'm aware of, and have successfully executed a secure wipe and short SMART diagnostics run in the past couple of days)

1x WDC WD5000AAKS-00UU3A0 (500GB)
2x WDC WD10EALX-009BA0 (1TB)
1x ST31000333AS (1TB)
1x ST3500830AS (500GB) [note: this is an older, slower 7200.10 series drive; FREE to anyone who wants it]

1x ASRock A785GM-LE Socket AM2+ micro-ATX motherboard (new in box)
Assortment of old Slot A / Socket A motherboards and CPUs [all believed to be in working order, but haven't been tested lately; FREE to anyone who wants them]
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
