Oak Island Money Pit

Sat Aug 09, 2014 9:17 am

I just HAVE to share this:

In order to drain the Money Pit, the team would either have to empty the Atlantic Ocean or obstruct the feeder vent that connected the five shafts to the tunnel. They chose the latter.

Did that get your attention? :D

Yeah, but if FDR (supposedly) believed it, it *must* be true!

Oak Island. It's killed several fortunes and several people. I suppose that someday there will be a properly-funded expedition that includes a 300' deep circular cofferdam around the pit itself, only to find the equivalent of Geraldo Rivera's "Al Capone vault".

The supposed riches exist only in virtual memory, not in meatspace.
And then of course I've got this terrible pain in all the diodes down my left hand side.

Thanks for posting that. I hadn't heard of it before, and it's a fascinating read.

To me, the mystery of who the hell put/built there the various items/structures that have been discovered is at least as interesting as what was being sought.

This has always fascinated as me. The stuff got there at some time.... but why? I could care less about treasure (unless I get a share, then I really care about treasure.
