The first paid expansion to Guild Wars 2 has just become available for pre-purchase ($50 for standard edition). It includes the full Guild Wars 2 game, as well as access to any remaining Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns beta/testing events.

The Ultimate package ($100) isn't a bad deal, since it includes the standard game, an additional character slot ($10 value), in-game miniature toy, in-game special finisher move, special guild hall decoration, special glider (wings) skin and 4000 gems ($50 value).

3 years, a slew of broken promises, and countless updates that broke more than they fixed later, I can easily say I am not even the least bit interested in this.

Eh GW2 was alright but I'm not really sure when I'll buy unless they add DX11 or 12 support.

I'm a fan of GW and i will surely buy this.

I purchased GW2 and had some fun with it but I was looking for more of a WoW type endgame, and GW2 purposefully distances itself from WoW tropes. I just have no interest in spending any more money on this game.

A beta 64-bit Guild Wars 2 client is now available.

If your system has more than 4 GiB of memory, the 64-bit client may improve performance and stability. The download is here. Just copy the GW2-64.exe file to your existing Guild Wars 2 directory and create a new shortcut to it.

I play GW2 sometimes (I guess I'm the enemy because I also play WoW) and definitely like it, but I think it could be so much more with some well though out updates.

I'll give it a go, though I still don't expect to play without other engine upgrades.

I came back to these when years later. It's still good to play.
