Under normal play it doesn't bother me that much, since I can restart the game and resume from the checkpoint. But when replaying a level (I missed a secret ) a game crash means you have to start back at the beginning AGAIN.
The big firefight where you drop down into a lab and there's a Mancubus on the operating table, is really problematic. I tried 3 or 4 times last night and always either died (my fault) or crashed to desktop when I was about to clear the area (not my fault). ugh...!

hmm that is odd. It was very stable for me.
I vaguely remember one crash.
Fixed an issue where users experienced a crash to desktop while using current NVIDIA drivers. (PC)

DPete27 wrote:I think you're missing the point...The game is very one dimensional. Run and gun is your only option, no stealth, little/no sniping. There is very little in the way of creative killing. Every enemy you kill basically has to be a shoot to stun and melee finish or else you constantly run out of ammo. I just don't get all the hype. I'll keep playing for now. Hopefully it gets better. Like I said, I've only played campaign for 3 hours. But seriously, if a game cant capture a player's interest in the first 3 hours of play (and I'm already bored), you've done something wrong.
just brew it! wrote:@DPete27 - I don't think it was their goal to break a lot of new ground. The first DOOM was the original "run and gun" FPS, and it sounds like (I haven't played this new one yet) they've basically done what amounts to a reboot of the original, updated to take advantage of the capabilities of modern consoles and PCs. So I would expect the gameplay to be a little dated; that's likely intentional.
