I'm always amazed at the stupid game development that goes on in their industry: absurd goals with open-ended development, large investment pools, and building (nearly compounding) debt. There are of course exceptions to this with small yet good development teams, moderately-well researched desires from various gaming communities, tight development with clear deadlines, etc..
