A most unfortunate, Freudian, double entendre is that hotel named "Budget Inn."

Gives me an excuse to finally finish this game.

Wonder if it will somehow, someway, make its way to mobile like Baldur's Gate EE did. I'd love to have it on my phone.

EDIT: Looks like it is coming to Android. AWESOME!

For my money, the best story-driven RPG ever made. Replay value goes way down. But I truly loved this game.

I think I played through about 2 times, then on the 3rd, I just got bored.

I made some different decisions the 2nd time around. I think on the 3rd I pumped up all the characters' stats with a save game editor and just went around nuking stuff so I could focus more on the story. The combat was never really it's high point. I came awful close back in the day to getting VHAILOR as a vanity license plate.

My initial playthrough (that I didn't finish) was what people consider the best route - high int/wis and charisma to get the best dialogue options.

I wanted to try it with those really low, so you basically communicate in grunts, and see what happens.

I might try that when I get the game.

One of these days, I'm gonna play it with Int cheated to max so I can see all the options in the dialogue... One of these days.

Does anybody know if GoG's gonna give you a chance to upgrade to this if you own the GoG version? I imagine the answer is "Hahahahahahaha NO," but I figured it was worth an ask.

Doesn't seem likely since the EE is made/packaged by a different company.

I have a modded version on my small laptop already, so I'll be interested to read reviews, etc, to see how much better the interface is compared to my modded version (it fixes all kinds of bugs and fixes the resolution for widescreens).

At least I think that's what happens. I may be confusing it with Fallout. Though if Fallout did it, I have to believe that Torment did too.

Well I just brought the game Sunday on Steam. At first the game wouldn't start, but after typing in "STEAM_RUNTIME=1 steam" in the terminal today the game plays just fine.

I played it for an hour so far and it is as good as I remembered the last time I played this back in "99 or '00.

So who else has brought and is playing this game? I never finished it back when I first had this, which is why I'm playing it now.
