- Works fine with glasses.
- 600 nits phone screen brightness for best experience. Otherwise, dim the lights in the room.
Best phone size is 5.5 to 5.7 inches. Don't worry if your phone isn't on the compatibility list. You can create a custom profile for your phone as long as it is not too small or not too big. Tested phones: Lenovo K5 Note and Zenfone 3 ZE552KL.
- Large phone battery would definitely help. Recommended 3000mAH minimum.
- Phone WILL heat up! So ensure that your particular phone model does not have a tendency to explode under extreme stress.
- Graphics look just like the holograms seen in the SW movies, even at the lowest graphics settings.
- Unlike typical "cheap" VR headsets, you can move around and view the 3D scenes from different angles. Even peer in for a closer look. Example: if you sit down during Holo Chess, you will be looking at the chess table almost at eye level. Standing up, the chess table is located around navel height.
- Ship battles are simplistic but the graphics detail is pretty good. Any SW fan should love a Star Destroyer floating in front of his face!
- Presentation is definitely Disney quality.
- I did not enjoy the lightsaber combat that much coz it mainly involves aligning the saber with yellow "premonition" bars to block attacks. After 3 or 4 successful blocks, you get to hit your foe just once for damage. Lightsaber handling is kinda wonky. Did not get to test multiplayer lightsaber combat but wouldn't expect it to be good based on single player experience.
Verdict: Worth the price of admission for Holo Chess alone. The price? Currently just $49 at Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Star-Wars ... B076FDK9TF
