My favorite game...you need to play with me and Nanoflower sometime...I've lost count of how many playthroughs he's done and I think he has all the achievements.

I'm so glad it wasn't a battle royal announcement.

I don't preorder things, generally, but this is one that I will. Even if it ends up sucking. They clearly know the fan base of the original 2 games and are capitalizing on that.

I can't wait. I need to finish Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragonkeep in the mean time.

I have a bad feeling about it.

It reminds me too much of Diablo 3(Pre-Reaper of Souls). Most of the original team and talent behind BL1/BL2 have parted ways from Gearbox. The RPG genre is oversaturated even the shoot-n-grab subgenre that BL1 help solidify.

I'm just saying that current team has massive shoes to fill. It would be a great achievement if they managed to make BL3 to be on par with BL1/BL2 and a miracle if they managed to surpass it.

I...mostly agree with Krogoth on this one. I am worried about the writing (because BL2 was really, really good), but they also can't just slap a fresh coat of paint on BL2. Games like Destiny and Overwatch have raised expectations for a game like this.

While I *hope* it will do well, I'm keeping my expectations in check for now. I'll readjust when I see some real gameplay.

I liked 1 well enough, but didn't love 2. Lots of that was because it seemed to be far to into its story. I'd just like to shoot stuff and get sweet guns. I'd also like more character customization, but idk.

I always thought they needed to lean into the RPG elements. Doing something like Diablo 3, where there's an adventure mode and 18 (IIRC) difficulty levels would be perfect. They can still do the story, but also scale the difficulty (which would also help the bullet sponge issues).

I sank something like 600 hours into BL2, getting 2 characters up to LV72 and another 2 around LV50.

I'm so stoked for this. Even if it's *not* as good as BL2, I'll still play it and have a massively amazing time.

I'm hopeful, but I'm also wary that Battleborn (had a lot of Borderlands design team on it) flopped instantly. That was partly poor launch timing and partly just an underwhelming product.

I also loved BL1 and BL2 (played all expansions) but did not find Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel much good. It looked like Borderlands, it almost played like Borderlands, but the whole experience was hollow :(

Any bets on what old Vault Hunters are going to bite the dust in BL3? Brick and Lilith seems to be likely candidates. Scooter is gone (his voice actor died and the character died in Tales of Borderlands which appear to be full canon).

I'm pretty sure this scene from the trailer is the playable roster for BL3:

I also play BL1 and BL2 and I have all the BL1 expansions and I think all but 2 of the expansions for BL2.
I also have the presequel and have some of the expansions for that.

I typically play the sniper though sometimes playing the heavy can be a blast...

I have 1&2 goty editions. There are things I like better about 1 and some things better in 2.

I am cautiously optimistic about this one. Hopefully it’s better than 2. I haven’t even got 1 toon to 72 yet in 2. I just don’t have that kind of time.

Hump-a-Dump! as Torgue would say. I'm looking forward to BL3 but I can wait till it's on sale later. Recently I've been trying to get through the BL2 Digistruck Peak challenge as a solo play and got as far as OP6. I did not see Moxxi in trailer, I'm I missing something or is she out of this next sequel? Her series of weapons were some of the better ones.
Sorry to hear about Scooter..."Hit the gas and tear some *ss!"

Looks like it could be her in the scene showing Tannis and Marcus, but was not sure...

Uh, Scooter was voiced by Mikey Neumann, who is very much alive. He's no longer with Gearbox (because he physically can't), but he's been doing Movies with Mikey full time on Youtube (which is excellent, by the way)...heck, he even helped out with the trailer for BL3.

I think that's mainly because the industry tends to zerg rush the newest, shiniest idea chasing whatever is making the most money that year (or month/week). Heck, Battleborn is what happens when Gearbox chase Overwatch. I'd be much more worried about some of the less player-friendly elements from Destiny 2 getting rolled in. #PrayForNoLootBoxes

Expecting? No. Fearing. Because everyone and their brother seems to be jumping on that bandwagon recently.

I'm torn on BL3. I hope it's going to be good but I fear another BL: TPS. The Pre Sequel wasn't a bad game but it certainly wasn't as good as BL2 or even BL1. As for pre-order, that's not happening. Too many games seems to be broken on day 1 for me to go for a pre-order. I'll at least wait some to hear reports from people playing the final game. Spent more hours than I can count (but Steam knows) in Bl1 and Bl2.

Only character I haven't taken to UVHM in BL2 is Krieg. My favorites have been Salvador in BL2 (love that dual wield especially a slag in one hand in UVHM and a Harold in the other combined with a ammo producing class mod) and Claptrap with a quad shottie in BL:TPS.

I'm not that worried about it being TPS. TPS was not nearly as long as a dev period as the others, and it was always pretty clear from the trailers and such it wasn't going to be amazing (at least IMO). I'm pretty pumped for 3 and I doubt there's much that could sway me at this point.
