Ps4 or PS4 Pro?

Sat Jan 18, 2020 6:27 am

I've been saving money for a long ass time in a coin jar. I checked it recently and I have ~$110. I have been playing on my Ps3 for about 10-11 years now and just need an upgrade. Don't get me wrong it's a great system... it's just that it was made in 2006. I don't have a lot of money and the money I do make go to essentials. I see a bunch of PS4's on Ebay for a hundred dollars or so and some Pros for a bit more. Should I wait longer till I can get a pro or just get a standard Ps4? Or should I even bother upgrading?

"Go big or go home" so PS4 Pro if you can afford it. More future proof. Or better yet, wait around 10-11 months and save some more money and get the PS5 which will play almost anything from PS1 to PS4 (as far as rumors go). But it has definite backward compatibility for PS4 game library. So you can just skip a generation and still not miss anything.

Skip the Pro. If your cash is pretty tight, I'm assuming that you aren't using a fancy TV or anything that would make significant use of the extra power. I have a Slim model, and it works just fine.
On second thought, let's not go to TechReport. It's infested by crypto bull****.

PS4 Pro will enhance visuals even at 1080p. So if graphical fidelity is important to the OP, PS4 Pro might be what he needs. But then again, after spending so many years with a PS3, even PS4 Slim graphics will look hyper realistic to him.
