Horizon: Zero Dawn Coming to PC

Tue Mar 10, 2020 10:41 am

Been rumored for months, but the beans finally got spilled (officially).

Horizon: Zero Dawn would probably be "fun enough" if it were just shooting robot dinosaurs with a bow and arrow, but it also has an incredible SciFi premise that is slowly revealed as the game progresses. Definitely worth checking out when it becomes available.

Also, it signals a significant shift in console exclusivity. I would expect a third-party developed title like Bloodborne to be a better candidate for something like this, but Guerrilla are Sony-owned, which suggests that we might see more PlayStation titles made available in the near future...hopefully.
On second thought, let's not go to TechReport. It's infested by crypto bull****.

Makes more business sense for them to bring their exclusives to PC, even if belatedly. They know some PC gamers DESPISE consoles due to their fixed horsepower and lack of graphical detail customization. This way they get to target a significant portion of the gaming community and don't even have to worry about piracy since their exclusives have already raked in more than enough. Or this could be a strategy to get more PC gamers to explore the Sony exclusive gaming catalog and maybe even BUY a console just to experience the ones that haven't been ported over to the PC yet. Either way, brilliant move. Sony shareholders are most likely pretty happy with this strategy. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft's gaming pass forced them to consider this option. Microsoft may not do a lot of things right but the things they do get right are pretty groundbreaking.
