Leisure Suit Larry
Choplifter
Zaxxon (Dog knows how many quarters I stuffed in that game)
Star Wars (the vector GFX coin-op where you attacked the Death Star)
What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

I'd like a remake of X-COM UFO. Not UFO:Aftermath, but a port of the old game to a new engine. It and TFTD in a double DVD pack. With nice CG movie cutscenes.

X-Com kicked ass while, TFTD was a utter disappointment abeit it was more realistic and strategical then X-Com.

Xtra vote for : Golden Axe, Death-track and all Space/Kings/Police Quests.

plus Caveman Ugh-lympics - what a classic.. that hammer-throw.. killer!!

um...
Zeliard (earliest RPG ever - though a platform action RPG)
Offroad racing
Slicks 'n' Slides
Minesweeper. :D

EDIT: oh yeah.. AND Zone66.. that awesome overhead 360 degrees shoot 'em up - Shareware I think.
I suppose Dawn-Raider needs a mention, although Raiden was better.

Well, Lucasarts already canceled two of the best sequels they could have ever done (Full Throttle and Sam n Max), but I'd like to see another Day of the Tenticle. Just can't get enough games with mutants taking over the world.

WTF, is wrong with the folks at Lucasarts. First, they put out crappy prequels for SWs then they're redoing the original trilogy for DVD release. Now, they are scrapping some of their most promising game titles. Most of the new SW based games were done by third party developers; Bioware and Raven Software.

Streets of Rage would kick ass remade using a decent 3D engine these days. As long as it had enough moves to keep remembering today.

One game I'd love to see get a little more exposure than it did on release was NiGHTS. I adored that game. And converted more than a few who didn't like it initially by letting them play the game for a while :-D

While we're still looking at the Saturn, a decent full version of Death Tank would be nice. Imagine 7+ player Death Tank over the Internet :-D Those who don't know what I'm on about obviously never completed Duke Nukem :-D

Oh, and Virtual On. The number of controllers I battered using that game. All three of them, in fact :-D

Further back, some decent Sonic titles would be nice. There was a side-scrolling shoot em up on the NES, damn but I can't even come close to remembering it's name. Space style stuff, with vertically and horizontally scrolling levels. Got any suggestions as to it's name guys? All I know is that it rocked. It was also a sequel to another shooter, but I think that one was less popular or something. I was only young then, so the memory then wasn't what it is now :-D

I'm going to have to dig out a copy of flashback from somewhere someday, then I'll understand what all the fuss was about. Played and/or watched all of about 5 minutes...

That's about my list, hardly retro in context but it's what I grew up with,

I thought about this last night and there are two old DOS pinball games from Amtex that I'd love to see remade...Eight Ball Deluxe and Royal Flush. Make them fully Windows XP compliant and I'd be happy. The only reason why I keep an old Celeron computer around with it's ISA slots and SB16 sound card is because it is DOS friendly should I want a retro gaming trip. A lot of "newer" DOS games are dog-slow through emulation, so I regret I have to keep some of this old gear around still.

You got that right.

I'd love those two, plus Keen, Bionic Commado, plus a 2-D Blaster Master (not everything has to be 3D, damn it!).

OK. This was the Saturn version of Duke Nukem. It came with a hidden game called Death Tank. There were two ways to unlock it.

A) Complete the game shooting every urinal and toilet in the game.

B) Much easier. Complete both the saturn versions of Duke Nukem and Quake. Keep the save games that say you've completed them.

The NES game. I really can't remember. I was so young at the time. The name will come to me at some point in the far future and a thread revival will occur :-D,

edit: Possibly Gradius 2... I knew Grandia (the Saturn RPG released in Japan only) rang a bell :-D
