The reason I'm worried is that in a 3 vs 3 match with only two sides (happy?) might get boring. Also only two teams means there are only two teams to learn and and there are less variations on what strategies to use to win.
It seems like it might get boring, and I'll go back to playing DOW.

Five different sets of units/buildings/techs.
Not to mention the the Orks and Eldar are on their own sides.

Maybe they'll make an expansion that fixes that problem for me.

There's so much you can do with defense, defensive terrain, high ground, bunkers, buildings, but all I face are tanks and artillery that devastate my defensive lines.
I'm not a fan of the Zergling rush, and I'm hoping I can find players who like to employ other tactics than rush tanks and plow over the field.
