Have you tried a hardcore server yet? No HUD. Just a big open screen. It's awesome. And you gain more xp playing in hardcore servers.

No, I've been playing in the n00b games. :D

I'm actually working on finding all of the intel. 12/30 isn't so great, but it's giving me a reason to replay the game. It's also fun playing like my task is to find the intel, making it to the marker/completing the task being my secondary (instead of primary) goal.

Thanks fr the tip...

Picked it up last night. I've been having a ton of fun with the SP, I just beat the Soap missions and am headed to the American campaign. Hopefully I can get in some MP tonight!

How do you get to a hard core server?

All of the servers I try have the HUD in the corner.... :-?

You just have to look around. Sometimes it'll say "hardcore" in the server name. I found one I really like called "Hardfought - CoD 4 TDM." It rotates TDM and S&D, and there's usually alot of players.

And I just made rank 36. :P

Epilogue Mission
If you sit through the credits at the end of the game, there's one more mission available.

I felt like I was playing Counter Strike in that mission. :D
Me too. It took me a few tries to finally get it done. Have to move and take out the bg's quickly.

I wish the single play was longer. I suck at Multi...

Have you guys beaten this mission at Veteran difficulty yet? I played through the game at Hardened difficulty (do this on your first run, the game is much more rewarding that way imo) and have no real problems. However, I barely get up the stairs on Veteran.

I've gotten up the stairs, into the first room, and into the 2nd room. Half way down the hall way the plane blows up.

Who the hell makes a plane blow up in 1 minute, exactly?

Ok I just played the demo for this game finally. I was never a Call of Duty fan and this is the first game in the franchise i've actually played and well, WOW. I'm blown away. I'm definitely going to buy it, no doubt. Played demo in Veteran, not too bad. Wow. I'm never going to finish GWAR2 if all these other nice games keep coming out! Haha.

I got it beat on veteran. My advice would be to play through it on Hardened in Arcade mode a few times and you'll see that the shotgun is a very, very useful weapon because it goes through everything and it has a wide spray.

Also, you only have to get to in front of the doors to stop that damn 1 minute timer. After you see the guy holding the hostage you just have to headshot him and then you're done with the mission, pretty much.

Wow, you guys were right.........very short SP game.

*SPOILER ALERT*

I figured that when everything was going in slo-mo in the last mission I was going to be captured and there would be a POW escape/rescue mission.

I got to play some of this (SP) at my cousin's house over the weekend, and it seemed pretty awesome. I didn't get to play much, though; their kids were getting kinda impatient wanting to play Mario Party on the wii. It's better than CoD 2 (never played 3) from what I can tell, I might have to try and get my hands on it.
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.

Holy Thread Resurrection, Batman!

I finally picked this up for the 360 over the weekend, and had a blast during every minute of gameplay. I've only played a few campaign missions so far, as I got sucked into playing on Live, but holy crap is it fun. The reason why I waited so long to get it was because I wanted to be able to play online, which pretty much requires you to have a headset. Well, my son (who's not even 2 yet) decided he wanted to play with my headset, resulting in very loose wire connections. That happened back in November/December, and I finally got around to buying the wireless headset just the other day.

Anywho...I'm currently at Rank 8 (I think), and pretty excited to climb the ladder some more. If you guys want to play, you know how to find me.

Ok, as long as this thread is back. I think I missed what you were saying? But to be clear, the slow-mo bit at the end of the game is the end of the game. You're not captured, you're rescued.

Unless I totally missed something?

We all know what the slow-mo bit in the middle of the game was :D

I still play online regularly. I usually play on The Black Hats custom map, HC S&D server. Almost all regulars in there, and it's a pretty good group of guys.

Sounds fun, but I bought the 360 version, mainly because of the number of people that I know that have it on the 360 vs the PC.
