OK, I just found this out...but there's a new Mount and Blade coming out:
With Fire and Sword.
I had some trepidations, with hits historical fiction setting, and the use of firearms. Then I looked it up, and was reminded that With Fire and Sword was a novel that had influenced Mount and Blade to begin with.
Then I thought about being in a siege and getting a bunch of firearms to shoot a volley instead of crossbowmen. This could be interesting. Mark me as curiously looking forward to it
I'm a-playin': Diablo 2 and Baldur's Gate (oh man, I'm lovin' the old-timey goodness).
Did you start back up when the Battle.net ladder reset a few weeks ago? I thought about it, but I just don't want that time sink right now. I have enough unplayed games to go through to last months. The last thing I need is to feed my old Diablo addiction.
Nah, I don't care about the ladder; a few months ago me and a couple buddies fell into talking about Diablo 2, and we had all played it before we'd known each other back in the day, so we decided to buy new copies (or dust off old copies) and start romping. I had stopped playing back at, like, 1.07, so all the new stuff in 1.13 (runewords, synergies, and all this nonsense about Uberdiablo? Heck, why not) has been like playing a totally different game.
I'm playing Portal 2 at a leisurely pace but haven't been in the mood for much else lately. If I suddenly find myself in the mood and see a good sale, I might pick up Crysis 2.
I'm mainly waiting on Diablo 3, though I plan to check out SW: The Old Republic to see if it's worth paying per month (which isn't likely, considering I've never found a subscription game I liked enough to pony up $12-$15 per month).
