Would love Suggestions for 3D Graphics work Laptop

Fri Mar 05, 2021 9:36 pm

I'm looking for two laptops for work. One more high-end for 3d Graphics work, and one mid-tier for coding and game engine work. I'm trying to find hard to hit a balance between mobility and cooling/build strength. But overall reliability is key.

A sample config of what I'm looking for:
1) 15inch screen, i5 or Ryzen equivalent, 32GB Ram, 1TB fast SSD, 2TB storage SSD, 1060 GPU or higher
2) 17inch screen, i7/i9 or Ryzen equivalent, 32 or 64 gb ram, 2tb fast ssd, 2tb storage, 3070 or 3080 GPU

Most likely, I'll probably order from stores that allow you to customize it, cause it's hard to find the right config pre-built.
I've worked on MSI Titan before, but it's too bulky and the network card has been unreliable. I've been recommended ASUS ROG series by a friend, for whom it's worked very well for > year.

And the store recommended these: ... 86whr.html ... -3070.html

But I have little experience with Dell/Gigabyte

If you know a specific brand or series that has worked for you in 3d work, gaming or in other intense load scenarios, please share your experience.

Thanks in advance!

3D graphics work implies anything with a Quadro.

From there, find something with a recent Ryzen chip.

Done. One laptop. Enjoy.
