How to transfer in Bluetooth HS (>3Mbps)?

Tue Feb 19, 2019 3:41 pm

Any idea if it's actually possible to get Bluetooth to work faster than 3Mbit (and specifically between Windows and Android)?
Supposedly, in HS mode (<=24Mbps, defined in v3.0 from 2009) the data is carried over WiFi, somehow.

On a superficial websearch the only proof that it really exists is a 2010 video, from an expo, showing a transfer between two phones from the same manufacturer.

All I know for sure is that my WNIC purportedly supports it.

From what I recall that is a Bluetooth automatically triggering an ad-hoc point-to-point wifi connection. I was reading about it on the new Canon RP camera. Supposedly it works great on Android but not so much in iOS.

The question is how to use it in practice.
I've never seen it work.
