Like the subject says, do any of you use your laptops as a gps? I would like to, and I am looking for some recommendations as to good software and receivers. Please share your thoughts and experiences, thanks.

Yes, ive interfaced a laptop with my nextel i730 for GPS data in microsoft streets software. A few of the nextels have a GPS reciever in them and theres a USB adapter cord for a direct link. Its pretty neat. I know that was slightly OT, but if you were in the need for a cell phone and GPS option :)

I know Kevin did as part of his Master's project. I can't remember what software he used though.
