Specs didn't state what the max ram it could go up to? I'm guessing 4gb... Or maybe 8gb if a laptop ddr3 ram stick was available...
Official line appears to be that it only supports 1 GB, but there are articles on the web indicating that a 4 GB stick will work.
Also would be wise to go with 64-bit too, does the C-50 handle 64bit or is it 32-bit like the rest of those Atom cpu's?
C-50 is 64-bit and
supports hardware virtualization (though you'd need to be a masochist to run VMs on an underpowered machine like this).
the 250gb SATA @ 5040rpm sucks on that netbook too, I would look into replacing it with an equivalent SSD.
It isn't for me, it is for my daughter to have something she can tote around to class when she starts college next month. It is going to be a light duty machine (e-mail, word processing and web), so I see no need to spend the $ on an SSD.
We might swap out the stock OS for Ubuntu Linux (she's actually been running Linux on her desktop for a few months)...
