In the end it's just the little things that eventually turned me off WebOS (and it's not WebOS's fault technically).
For example, scrollbars. Whenever you try to scroll a long list in WebOS, there are simply no scrollbars. Not only you can't tell where you are on a page, but you can't quickly jump to a point on the page except by rapidly flicking your finger to scroll down.
Anyway, I'm glad Android does sideloading. Opera Mobile didn't show up in the market for some reason but a quick sideload later, it's running like butter in full screen.
Also, the WebOS keyboard (when it's not freezing up) is much nicer than the Android one. I'll probably get Swiftkey X later to have a better keyboard. At least Android supports alternate IMEs (no Chinese input for YOU in WebOS).
