I've recently got a D-link DIR-882 router and thought to give it a test to its USB sharing function (SAMBA). I can't make it work in Windows 10 no matter what. I have an old Win 7 desktop and it can see the USB devices connected to the router just fine, but Win 10 refuses to do so.
In file explorer, whenever I try to connect with the router address (192.168.0.1), I can enter the credential just fine, but the drive does not show up. I have SMB 1 activated (D-link needs that). When I try to connect with the Map Network drive (read this instruction in a D-link forum), I get an error Windows cannot access \\192.168.0.1, error code 0x80070043.
Anyone has any idea? I tried the enabling "Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon"-fix, it did not work. I tried also putting "“Network security: LAN Manager authentication level” to “Send LM & NTLM responses”", didn't work either.
