Wed Dec 31, 2003 8:23 am

I'm booting SuSE Linux and Win2k on one and XP on the other.... Is it possible to hook a dual booting machine up to a network?

Because the operating systems are (mostly) unaware of each other, the device drivers won't be loading simultaneously via each kernel to dork with each other - yes networking from a dual - tri OS PC is possibly and just as functional should it have but one OS installed.

Yes.
Because you can boot only one OS at a time, the resources are not shared between OSs.

However there are applications like VMWare that allow you to access the other OS(s) without requiring a reboot to switch in order to gain access. In that case, the emulation software negotiates the resource use per OS.
