PS3 Wifi

Mon Jan 10, 2011 11:40 pm

I live in a building filled with Wifi spots, but in my room there seems to be none. I have a modem connected to my computer in my living room but its not wireless. Usually i just scan around and find someones but its starting to get weaker so i was wondering how could I connect my computer & my PS3 to the modem wirelessly?

You'll need a wireless router.
Then connect it to your modem.
Connect router to PC and connect it to the PS3 WiFi.

Any wireless router should be able to connect to something 50 feet away. It's more if you start doing heavy torrenting and such does the router handle it well or not and will the router die 1 week out of warranty. Look at some of the other threads here and also check out SmallNetBuilder for reviews.

I have found the WiFi in game consoles to be so inconsistent that it almost isn't worth messing with. Wired for teh win
