Can't setup wireless printer

I'm using a N600 WIRELESS DUAL BAND GIGABIT ROUTER with a HP 4620 printer/fax/copier. I have the printer connected to the network and the drivers on my computer and the printer ip address setup as a tcp/udp forward, I suck at networking to begin with and I'm super confused as to how it can be on and I can't connect to it either through the software that hp sent or through windows default.

my pc is wired to the router and the printer is wireless I suspect that is the problem.

You don't need to do any port forwards or anything. Usually HP printers allow you to connect them with USB so the installer can setup the wirless for you. After that initial setup you can disconnect the cable and use it on wireless

I give up. I just plugged it into my tower to get work done.

tried didn't work.
