Standard Radeon with Mac - will it work?!

Wed Mar 03, 2004 2:50 pm

Hi guys, it's been a while since I've posted here - I've been lurking!

Anyway, I'm wanting to sell my Radeon 9800 SE AiW as I don't use the AiW features at all. I've got a guy interested who wants to use it with a Mac - will it work? I know that there's a Mac Edition, but is it just the software that's different?

Even if there is some hardware difference, would my standard card work in a Mac? I assume if it does then the TV tuner will also as it's just a general Philips one...

Anyway, help is appreciated! :D

from everything i've seen on the net, it will require a BIOS update & of course new drivers. (http://aex.org/mac/7000.html)

try to find a macintosh version of the bios for your card and it might work.

Just a clarification. Those work on standard Radeons. I'm not sure if that will work on All in Wonder cards.
