Store Files on iPhone

Sun Aug 24, 2008 4:14 pm

As used to be the case with iPods I've had in past, you could ordinarily access it as a disk drive and dump onto it when you needed some portable storage space. I can't seem to do this with my iPhone 3G. I can access the photos folder (it comes up as a drive/folder in My Computer), but I'm not sure what would happen if i tried to put data files (documents, files, etc.) in there. Is there any way to put files onto the iPhone just for portable storage?

You should have no problem dropping any files you want into the folder. Just don't expect iPhone to recognize them.
