With the exception of a couple of Silverstone SFX and SFX-L power supplies, I have adopted a strategy of buying a SeaSonic 80+Pt model when Newegg
puts it on super-sale and keeping the power supply on-hand for when I need a new PSU. Since switching to SeaSonic instead of Corsair, Thermaltake and Antec PSUs, I haven't needed to replace any failed ones, either.
My current favorites are the Focus+
line, which aren't as deep as many premium power supplies.
