Where to buy motherboard mounting studs and screws?

Wed Aug 14, 2002 12:04 pm

I have an old case that I'm gonna drop a ECS Sis735 board in for the wife....but I'm short on standoffs and screws. Anyone know where I can get some?

motherboards usually come with oodles (a technical term, as dan would say) of extra screws and standoffs etc. Try to find someone who's assembled a computer or two in the last few months or try the repairs dept of (insert name of local big-name computer dealer*)... they should have.

* sorry i'm not American, so don't know the names... :)

or use a washer and some superglue... or something ;)

I've never purchased a motherboard that has come with screws/standoffs. Cases, yes, motherboards no.

I'll try one of the local shops, the guys are overpriced and ignorant, but they might have some. Thanks.

In my experience, it's usually the case that comes with screws, etc.

You can get some here:

I was pretty psyched with all the screws I got with the antech case - I've always been 1 or 2 short on that stuff.
