TR Case Gallery

I'm going to start a case gallery for TR users to show off their rigs and gain credibility when talking about cases. Please limit this thread to posts with pics. If you have no new case pics to add, don't post.

In keeping with that rule, Here is my collection.
Image
There's the dark shot of my superlanboy with CC at the bottom.
This is an older shot (same case, different parts) but remains a good pic of what the case looks like when lit up.

Image
Here is the same case not as lit up to show what I have crammed in the tiny little case. Cable management was quick, but I think I did a nice job of keeping everything out of the way of airflow.
Image
here's my older 3700bqe with bezel mod. The edges are dusty, I just wiped down the filter and the steel mesh with a wet cloth. It's full of dust and smudges all over. The open bezel allows for a single slow speed 120mm to work very well without a push-pull configuration.

old and not updated, case has a few additions to it but nothing really note worthy.

Fun thread. :D

Here is my newest rig.

Dell 2005FPW 20" Widescreen LCD, Asus P5ND2-SLI Deluxe, Pentium 630 @ 3.6GHz, 2GB Corsair DDR2 - 675MHz, BFG 7800GTX OC, WD Caviar SATAII 250GB, Lite On DVDRW 16x, still using my old Hercules Game Theater XP and Creative 6.1 sound system. That is wrapped in a Kingwin alum chassis and powered by a Rosewill 500W power supply.

Image
Image

Coming soon; Water cooling, should be able to click off 4GHz with ease on a decent water cooling setup.

Can I ask people to put a max width of 1024 please.

LFK, what place is that, not too much room for the CPU fan

Sorry about the size on most of my images. Guess I'm over-compensating.

That's a 7700ALCU on an Asus AN8-SLI Premium, within a Lian Li V-1000. It's located on the floor next to my desk. I know it's a tight fit.....but it's hanging out around 40c, overclocked and under full load.....so it's working, for now. 8)

Neither picture came out too well, the second one especially.

Notice the thing sitting on top of the case in the first picture? It's my custom-made radiator enclosure. I will make a thread about it when I can get some decent shots of it, needs daylight to do it justice 8)

With the "parasite" cooling fan attached to any graphics card passive cooling device and secured with plastic cable ties....

....and the results of system temperature and Intel cpu temperature are as follows

"Parasite" can even be attached directly above the hdd for maximum direct "blow" cooling.

Still got to put an aluminum case badge on the front, add a cffl exhaust to the back and put some etching on the window.

I have a computer system that I would like to submit for your Mod’s section. Though I have been reader the reviews and info here at The Tech Report, I never really felt sure about joining any forums. Now I feel I have a chance to contribute something in the way of inspiration for modders (I think anyway), and was hoping to do so with your Case Mod section. I sincerely hope you all enjoy the pictures. Thank you. I actually finished this case last year around February, and am still using it to this day.

This desk was built from the ground up by me and a little help from my father. We both love to tinker and build things. And aside from our normal argumentative nature (his side of the family) we managed to complete the whole project in just under 4 weeks, outside of our normal jobs and with our own free time.

This was the finished product.

I even decided to go a little crazy and built a plexiglass housing for my top hard drive. Unfortunately, after a week, the hard drive would fail, as did it's replacements, 3 times consecutively. So it is now just for looks and not functional.

As it sits, ominously in the corner of my room, in the dark.

I have, since finishing the desk, upgraded several key features including and not limited to:
1. Upgraded from a GeForce 5200 to a 6800 GTOC
2. 1gb to 2gb of ram
3. A wireless, keychain remote (Like most car alarms) for its On/Off switch and reset.
4. Epox MoBo with a 2.0ghz Willamette Processor to an Asus AI MoBo with a 2.6 Northwood Processor OC’d to 2.83mhz (not very aggressive)
5. With the exception of all of my doomed hard drives (plexiglass enclosure) I started with two Maxtor 300gb SATA drives, and now have 4 running in a RAID 0/1 configuration.
6. Upgraded the keyboard to the Logitech G15 with the LCD display.
7. The mouse to the Logitech MX6000 Laser.
Other than that, the features are as follows.

The remaining features are as follows:
- Dell 2001FP 20.1 inch Monitor (made a bracket for it myself)
- Nostromo 52N Speedpad
- Enermax 500 Watt power supply
- Only 4 120mm Case fans, 2 intake and 2 exhaust, that are adjusted for a higher internal air pressure to keep out that annoying dust and cat fur. With the stock Intel Heatsink and a new Blue LED fan as well. The systems internal ambient air temperature never goes above 37 degrees Celsius, even with extreme gaming. The fan control is hidden under the front lip of the interior of the case, so it isn’t in the way and I can easily reach and adjust it by simply removing the glass.
- 2 Lite-On and LG Drives, 1 is a DVD-Rom drive, and the other is a 40x ReWriteable drive. (recently replaced both with a single Plextor DVD-Re-writable drive.
- Creative Audigy 2 ZS with internal drive bay panel.
- Hawking 802.11g wirless card (The only thing that I would never recommend to anyone)
- Kinyo 5.1 Surround Headphones
- Creative 5200 5.1 surround sound speaker system

I am sure there are a few more things that I have neglected to mention, and since I am at work at the moment, it is difficult to remember absolutely everything off hand. So...I apologize, I wanted to give you the full experience to my best ability. Hopefully, though, all of this will give you a good idea of what I have done. I also apologize if this was a bit more than you had recommended someone send to you.

Well, thank you for bearing with me. I really do appreciate it.

OH SNAP! I've been wanting to do something like that desk case for years! You and your dad did a great job! I've also been itching to build an in dash microPC for my car (I have a double size deck space) with a touch screen for easy mp3 and dvd playback, but I can't get around the heat issues without A/C or the condensation issues with it.

that case is at least 10 years old, but its still a good case.

that system is quite ghetto though. there is a hard drive cooler being used as the front intake. and if i felt like taking it out from under the desk, you would see a large square cut out of the side for the radiator of my water cooling. =p

Nice looking case, but wow, those pictures are huge. That last one nearly takes up the full screen of my 2407 @ 1920x1200. You may want to resize those for people with smaller monitors...

What's a guy to do with all that sweet sticker swag?

I don't put them on my computer, but I have a whole stack in a box somewhere. I just can't bring myself to throw them away.
