I have everything on the way except a 3900X. I have notifications set at a few sites for stock alerts. Fingers crossed. :)

Looks like there's some issues with newer Linux distros. Something slightly older, like Ubuntu 18.04 LTS is fine, but newer distos (I generally use what ever the latest Kubuntu version is) such as Fedora, Manjaro, Arch etc are seeing a nasty Kernel/User space issue with the new Ryzen 3000/X570 systems. AMD are not sure what the issue is yet and it may affect some motherboards and not others.

Ohhh... it looks like a systemd issue. Color me not surprised.

It's looking potentially like a bug in the RdRand instruction, though very tentative at the moment, still a in-progress investigation.

Oh, yuck. If that's it, that's a pretty sloppy bug. Hopefully it can be fixed with a BIOS or microcode update.
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

Ouch, hopefully it's something else benign, but at least it's not a performance impact for many workloads.

YES. Amazon stock alert actually worked for once! 3900X acquired. The adapter kit for my waterblock is going to take a few weeks to arrive, so I guess I'll be rocking the RGB cooler it comes with at least for a bit. It'll be interesting to see how much added cooling really helps in terms of performance!

Yep, 3900X is going out fast as Tickle-Me-Elmos on Black Friday. I would imagine that upcoming 3950X will suffer from the same fate but will ease-up the pressure on 3900X stock.

I'm torn about whether building a 9600K PC last Nov 2018 was worth it. At that time I purchased the chip to give me the best minimum FPS in BFV, but now I wonder if I should have bought into AM4 instead. Oh well ... there's still the option of passing the intel PC to the partner and building a fresh Zen 2 for myself ...!
