Looks like there's some issues with newer Linux distros. Something slightly older, like Ubuntu 18.04 LTS is fine, but newer distos (I generally use what ever the latest Kubuntu version is) such as Fedora, Manjaro, Arch etc are seeing a nasty Kernel/User space issue with the new Ryzen 3000/X570 systems. AMD are not sure what the issue is yet and it may affect some motherboards and not others.https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page= ... inux&num=2
Ohhh... it looks like a systemd issue. Color me not surprised.
It's looking potentially like a bug in the RdRand instruction, though very tentative at the moment, still a in-progress investigation.https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page= ... temd-Maybe
