OK, but you originally just said Chromecast, for which the resolution is "hey, who knows?". I wasn't aware of the ultra at all until you mentioned it. Maybe that's better, but it's simply not what you said originally.
This starts getting silly: once the price is 70 dollars and the device has ethernet, it's just another TV streaming box. Those all have apps for controlling them too.
The smartphone is essentially superfluous: you basically just bought one of those boxes without a dedicated remote.
