If it's a rare enough issue there's a chance reviewers wouldn't have come across it but I agree these problems should have shown up long before now considering both reviewers and consumers have had Kaby Lake for months now (and Skylake much longer, which is essentially the same thing). Considering they don't even come with heatsinks my first suspicion would be insufficient heatsinks or improper mounting of those heatsinks. Maybe there really is a problem but a few random posts on forums isn't terribly convincing.
