Ryzen 7 + X370 performs better in the physics tests and is cheaper than the 6800K + X99.

I'd rather not deal with the X99 platform either. The best X99 overclocking motherboards (Asus OC boards) have a bug which causes them to give the CPU 1.8V Vcore randomly.
