Even on a non-K CPU Z370 has some benefits. A Gigabyte rep confirmed on reddit that MCE can force all-core turbo speeds to match the single core turbo-boost max on non-K, so an i7-8700 will be doing 4.6GHz on all cores.

Anandtech has maintained pretty good article quality IMHO. The major problem with the site seems to be the recent focus on mobile technology.

It would definitely be my first pick if I needed a good iPhone review though! For everything else it makes a good second/third opinion.

Actually, I think Anandtech still does some good technical analysis of things you can't necessarily find other places. They aren't and never have been the first site I go to, but I go there about as much as I used to.
