That sounds entirely possible to me. I mean, does anybody really know what Oreos are made of?

We have a family friend with food sensitivities to both eggs and dairy. He basically describes himself as a meat-eating vegan. But he can eat Oreos. That tells you what they aren't made of, appearances notwithstanding.

It is probably lard or some kind of plant-based fats and sugar.

I know from being a stupid teenager that Oreo's don't melt or burn when used as pizza toppings. I'd go with some kind of rendered vegetable oil plus other mystery ingredients since lard melts are relatively low temperatures.

Edit: Oreo's are recursive. Nifty.

Same experience here. We found out our son has a milk allergy, and Oreos are the only candy/desert he likes.

Man, now I'm craving cookies.

Got a house full of Girl Scout cookies. The accounting is a nightmare, and I'm somewhat inclined to believe it's just a pyramid scheme. A tasty pyramid scheme.

When I was in high school my mom somehow ended up as GS cookie chair for Southern VT. The semi carrying all the cookies had to back up my dead-end street while avoiding parked cars, upon which I and the other kids on the street were put to work moving the cookies to our garage case by case.

Finally Krogoth and I agree on something: Thin Mints and Lemonades (called Savannah Smiles around here) are both awesome. Samoas, too.

Fun thought experiment: roast a marshmallow and put it between two Samoas. Now you have a simple S'more. Awesome or freakin awesome?

Obviously thin mints are amazing. I don't know anyone that doesn't like them (i'm sure you philistines will come out of the shadows now that I've said that), but caramel delights and PB patties are also wonderful.

That's not in doubt but frankly given that AMD is purportedly launching 16 core RyZen 3000s with Navi graphics and 5G (thank you miracle 14 nm IO chiplet!) in May, it makes you wonder who decided to make the "OMG 50th anniversary" chip be last-year's 2700X.

https://hothardware.com/news/amd-ryzen- ... april-29th

Could have waited to launch the "50th anniversary" part with silicon that's actually new for the 50th anniversary.

50th annverisery chips and GPUs are going to be cherry-picked silicon. My bets on either early released Matisse or cream of the crop Pinnacle Ridge for the CPUs, while GPUs are going to be Vega 20s that are unsold M50 Instincts rebranded.

Radeon VIIs are "failed" M50 units with a small number of the good stuff that was unsold being "rebranded". AMD will cherry-picking M50 units that clock high for their 50th anniversary edition Radeon VII.
