Intel has suddenly decided to be generous and let the consumer keep 5% to 20% of what the chip giant was previously charging for desktop F and KF CPUs. Thanks!

The timing of a 14% price cut on the 6 core / 6 thread Core i5-9400F and a 20% price cut on the 4c/4t Core i5-9100F CPUs with the arrival of 6c/6t Ryzen 5 3500X and 3500 processors is likely more than a coincidence.

I'd be happy to eventually pick up a 9900k, but prices there are sitting high. It's almost worth it to build a new Ryzen 4 system in the future and pass this along to the partner.
