I learned of this chipset months ago and have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of motherboards that use it.

Is anyone else interested in this chipset?

Why is no-one else talking about it?

There is at least one MB out, the PC-Chips M841LR. But no one seems to be selling it.

Does anyone else have any information about this chipset and motherboards?

Thanks for reading!

PC-Chips? Bah. That's not a motherboard, that's a nightmare waiting to happen. I certainly wouldn't want to use PC-Chips as the testbed for a new chipset. Wait for a real vendor to come out with one.

Well, newegg has ECS SiS745 Chipset ATX Motherboard Model K7S6A. Is 745 different from 740? They also have some 735 sets.

Yes the 740 set is different than the 735.
The 740 chipset has integrated (high performance) 3D graphics, audio, lan, and even modem.
And it's supposed to be much cheaper than the nvidia n-force.
