newegg & CPU, what happened?

Sat Oct 27, 2012 1:37 am

Is it just me or newegg CPU selection just dropped to near nothing?

I only see 8 AMD CPU for sale... and 16 Intel CPU model

And 14 out of those 16 Intel CPU are $190 and above only...

It's just you. I just set "View" to 100 and i have 1 full page plus a second one, so more than 100 items for sure.

Edit:
Interestingly enough, at the moment i'm writing this, FX 8350 is sold out at $219,99.

They occasionally rearrange how their web site works. You need to either scroll to the bottom and click the page number links to see more, or use the search filters on the left to narrow it down to only the type(s) of CPU you are interested in. AMD FX-series alone has 11 different CPUs listed, and there are 17 Core-i5s.

Actually, Newegg was having some problems. I couldn't see any AMD video card over $300 for a few hours, but it's all fixed now. There's a thread about this on another forum.

Ahh, OK. Maybe they tried to cut over some new web site features and screwed it up.
