Learning Python

Fri May 20, 2016 3:40 pm

Python is next on my list. I have a few things to automate on the home server, and thought this would be a good way to pick up a new language.

So, fellow gerbils, what's everyone's favorite reference material for all things Python related?
Do not meddle in the affairs of archers, for they are subtle and you won't hear them coming.

I generally just use the official documentation:
https://docs.python.org/2/ (Python 2.x)
https://docs.python.org/3.4/ (Python 3.x)
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

I really like what I've seen of http://learnpythonthehardway.org/book/

I found this after already knowing quite a bit and just did a few chapters, but if it holds it's quality, it will be good.
