Low profile video card

Mon Mar 26, 2012 3:56 pm

Hi!
Would anybody have any recommendation for a low profile video card for a Dell Optiplex 380 SFF? It needs to support dual displays and preferably be fanless. Thanks

How about a Radeon HD5450 for $30 with free shipping? You may need to use an HDMI to DVI cable with one of your monitors, depending on what inputs it has available.

A HD6450 for $35 after MIR would be better. It has twice the SP's

Moreover, I see your HD5450 and raise you a HD6570 for $50 after MIR. I own a Sapphire 5570 (same thing) and have never heard the fan. The 6570 can even allow you to play games at decent frame rates without having to turn the detail and/or resolution all the way down
If you must have fanless, then go with this one for $60 after MIR

All 3 of these cards should have low profile brackets included, you just remove a couple screws to take the standard height one off.

I take that back about the low profile brackets. this 6450 has a low profile bracket included (same $35 price) and so does my HIS 6570 fanless recommendation. It seems as though the fanned Sapphire 6570 doesnt come with one. Sorry. Upon reading through the reviews, the 6570 apparently does come with a low profile bracket that is not shown in the picture or listed in the specs.
