You still have to smash that mobo panel back up against all the SATA and PSU cables when you re-attach it to the case no matter how long they are. That's when all the problems occur trying to keep the cables out of the CPU fan. Being able to take more case panels off is beneficial for accessibility when building inside SFF cases, but I personally wouldn't take that back panel off very often(ever) once a system is built in that case.
