So I'm not the only one who writes on those orange SATA cables with a Sharpie. :)

if it was only 2 or 3 drives... in a normal case... i'd just follow the cables and eyeball it. 6 inside a SFF? i don't wanna think about pulling the wrong cable.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. You can't even take that mobo panel all the way off without unplugging everything from the mobo? Not to mention cable routing when you have to re-attach the panel. Rediculous.

I actually think the OP chose shorter cables so the case would not be that cramped.

You still have to smash that mobo panel back up against all the SATA and PSU cables when you re-attach it to the case no matter how long they are. That's when all the problems occur trying to keep the cables out of the CPU fan. Being able to take more case panels off is beneficial for accessibility when building inside SFF cases, but I personally wouldn't take that back panel off very often(ever) once a system is built in that case. Modular PSU Required

Looks like a Lian-Li PC-Q08R. Doesn't have a seperate motherboard tray, just the "right side" panel.

yup. kind of an annoying case to work with, but it DOES have several features that i wanted:

1. most compact case that could house 6 hard drives

2. decent airflow setup

as a bonus, it has rubber grommets built in for the drives. But it takes 6 screws to take off each side panel. Bleh. This isn't a case i intend to upgrade or disturb in any way for the next few years, though.
